Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board legislative recommendations

For the 2026 legislative session

The Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board has provided the legislature with recommendations to improve the campaign finance and economic interest programs. The recommendations largely involve technical changes that would provide clarity or resolve inconsistencies in statutes. The recommendations are described within two documents linked below.

The Board's recommended technical changes are included within H.F. 4243 and S.F. 4223. Changes that would require a disclaimer on lobbying material and eliminate a reporting requirement involving specific disbursements by lobbyist principals are included within H.F. 4239.
